How do you clean the silver conchos on a western saddle?
Hi, i just bought a used western saddle, but the girl i bought it from just let it lay around in the barn. So now the conchos have green stuff on them and are not shiny at all. The silver on it is nice silver, not the cheap stuff. I have tryed jewelry cleaners and baking soda and some silver cleaners you get from the store, they help a little bit, but not like i want them to. PLEASE HELP!

- Hunbun , get a can of Brasso and put some on a dry cloth, then start rubbing. Presto ! You'll use your concho's for a mirror.
- Unfortunately the person you bought it from may have let the conchos get too far gone. The green stuff seems to eat off the shiny part. I had the same thing happen to me. You can buy new silver to put on your saddle for pretty cheap. They are just screwed onto the saddle.
